Although they all used to star on Supernatural together for the CW, each actor was plugging his own separate project at Thursday’s upfronts.

Jared was in support of Walker: Independence, a prequel series to his western show Walker, which is itself a reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger.

He, Misha and Jensen performed a brief comedy bit at the upfronts where they foated spoof show ideas to the network’s CEO Mark Pedowitz, Variety reports.

‘We were just, not spying, just kind of existing nearby,’ Jared vamped. ‘And we heard you talking about the movies and specials, and since all three of us are back on the CW this year, we just wanted to pitch some ideas to you.’

His idea was Walker, Texas Rabbi, a Hanukkah episode of Walker, while Misha pitched a program called A Very Castiel Christmas in honor of his Supernatural character.

Jared’s car crash had caused him to miss a Supernatural fan event on April 24 in New Jersey, where Jensen announced from the stage that Jared had survived a ‘very bad car accident’ and was ‘lucky to be alive,’ according to Us Weekly.

‘He’s at home recovering, which – the fact that he’s not even in the hospital right now is, like, blowing my mind because I saw the car.’

Jensen shared that Jared was ‘doing okay’ and ‘moving around,’ adding that his former co-star quipped after the crash: ‘I feel like I went 12 rounds with Tyson.’

Two days later Jared posted a heartwarming selfie with his daughter Odette, five, and assured his fans that he was recovering.

‘Hey y’all! I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love. I’m definitely on the mend and hoping to return to filming later this week,’ he wrote.

‘I’m so lucky to have had the best care and be surrounded by people who love me. So grateful for everyone #SPNFamily #WalkerFamily #akf.’

At the beginning of May new details surfaced about Jared’s harrowing car accident, which had taken place in Austin, Texas.

An accident report obtained by TMZ revealed Jared had a passenger in a Tesla that turned left too quickly, prompting it to careen over a concrete retaining wall and slam headlong into a steel pole.

After striking the utility pole, the automobile went spinning off to the right, according to the report from the Texas Department Of Transportation.

The car is said to have been driven by a cousin of Jared’s, Jeremy Padalecki, who allegedly got a speeding citation and sustained the gravest injuries.

Four people were reportedly seated in the car in total, with Jared and Jeremy sitting up front and two others behind.
